HC Deb 24 May 1898 vol 58 cc548-9
MR. S. SMITH (Flintshire)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Benefices Bill, which stands as first Order for Monday, 6th June, will be proceeded with that day; or, if not, when it is likely to come on?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER

The Benefices Bill will not be taken on 6th June. But until public business is further advanced it will not be possible to fix a day for proceeding with the Bill.
