§ MR. DILLONI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, before proposing the new clause in the Local Government (Ireland) Bill, page 34, after Clause 61, he will state the name of the temporary commissioner whom it is proposed to appoint?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURI cannot undertake to give the name of the proposed temporary commissioner before the new clause is reached. The matter has not yet been even considered. It is possible I might be able to make an announcement before the Report stage, but in saying this I must not be understood as giving any pledge on the subject.
