MR. HUTTONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can give any information with regard to the issue of medals by the Chartered Company to the officers and soldiers employed in Rhodesia between 24th March and 31st December, 1896; and whether he can state when such medals will be distributed?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIESThe issue of these medals in accordance with Army Order No. 96, of July, 1897, will take place as soon as the rolls are complete. There has been unfortunately delay and difficulty in preparing the full rolls in South Africa of the local forces engaged.
