HC Deb 04 March 1898 vol 54 c600
MR. D. N. NICOL (Argyll)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, if he can state what arrangements are being made for an improved mail steamer service to Coll, Tiree, and the Outer Hebrides; and, if he can lay upon the Table of the House the Report of the Departmental Committee on the West Highland Mail Steamer Service?

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. R. W. HANBURY,) Preston

I am unable to make any statement at present respecting the future arrangements for the mail service to Coll, Tiree, and the Outer Hebrides. The Report of the Departmental Committee is being considered, but whether it will be desirable to lay it upon the Table of the House has not yet been decided.
