HC Deb 04 March 1898 vol 54 cc600-1
MR. D. H. COGHILL (Stoke-upon-Trent)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, when residential houses have been depreciated in value by the construction of a light railway on the high road, the owners of such houses are entitled to receive any compensation?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE

No, Sir. In this respect the procedure is similar to that under the Tramway Law.
