THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. CURZON,) Lancashire, SouthportThe negotiations which have for some time been proceeding with the Chinese Government for an extension of the boundaries of Hong-kong resulted in a Convention, which was signed on June 9th at Pekin. The area which is leased to Great Britain for 99 years includes the waters of Mirs Bay and Deep Bay, the peninsula and promontory of Kowloon, and the island of Lantau.
