HOGAN (Tipperary, Mid)I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether there is any ground for the alarm now being felt in Australia and New Zealand at the unusual massing of French troops in New Caledonia; and whether any change is contemplated in the dual control of the neighbouring groups, the New Hebrides, by the joint British and French Commission?
MR. CURZONHer Majesty's Government have received no information with regard to the matter referred to in the first paragraph of the Question, and no such change as that indicated in the second paragraph is in contemplation.
