FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is intended by the Government to impose a countervailing duty on all agricultural produce assisted with bounties imported into Great Britain and Ireland; and whether any bounty system on the principle of the proposed grant to the West Indian sugar, planters, to relieve native producers and agriculturists, is under consideration?
