§ MR. HOWARD (Middlesex, Tottenham)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to the case of the two cyclists who ran into and killed a man in Tottenham, afterwards making off, and against whom a verdict of manslaughter 957 has been found by the coroner's jury; and whether he will issue a reward for their apprehension?
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENTI have had a report of this case, but it would be against the long-established practice of the Home Office to offer a reward, and I see no sufficient reason in the present instance for departing from it.
