§ CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if he will inquire from the Government of India whether any and, if so, what proposals or recommendations have been made as to prolonging the period of Indian Medical Service officers in principal medical officers' offices to enable them to acquire a sufficient knowledge of military duties before their promotion to administrative military appointments after long years of employment in civil medical billets?
