§ MR. BRODRICKTwo army corps would require 226 medical officers, including administrative ranks; but this does not include the line of communications. The stationary and general hospitals would form a part of the line of communications. A stationary hospital of 100 beds has four medical officers, and a general hospital of 520 beds has 20. The number of these hospitals would depend on the length of the line, the climate, and the nature of the campaign.
