MCCARTANI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, with reference to the grant of £5,000, proposed to be granted towards the repair or reconstruction of the pier and harbour works at Newcastle, county Down, whether he will state if the money has yet been lodged for this purpose to the credit of the county Down Grand Jury; if he can state the cause of delay; and whether, considering the urgent necessity for going on with the work at once, he will make inquiry with the view of expediting it?
§ MR. HANBURYA large number of replies on the subject have been received, and further answers are expected. As soon as these are received the results will be put together and laid before the House in the form of a Parliamentary Return.
