BROOKFIELD (Sussex, Rye)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether, in view of the announcements that have been made as to its being the intention of Her Majesty's Government to give greater encouragement to the civil employment of Reserve and discharged soldiers, it will be possible to favourably reconsider the recommendation of the Select Committee on Retired Soldiers' and Sailors' Employment with regard to substituting a weekly in place of a quarterly payment of wage for all ex-soldiers employed in Public Departments of the State?
