HC Deb 24 May 1897 vol 49 c1141
MR. MACALEESE

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, is it intended to increase the number of rural postmen, in view of the contemplated house-to-house delivery of letters in the country districts of Ireland?

MR. HANBURY

Yes. There can be no doubt that the number of rural postmen will be increased.
