§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYIn view of the large amount of time which has already been occupied during the present Session by subjects connected with elementary education, I cannot hold out any very sanguine hope to my hon. Friend that this question, 119 the great importance of which the Government fully recognise, can be adequately dealt with this year.
