§ CAPTAIN NORTONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether it has been brought to his notice that a Mr. Stewart, an officer of the Great Eastern Railway Company, and a Mr. Joseph Coward, a licensed cab-driver, visit the new Police Offices, 1325 New Scotland Yard, daily, touting for cabdrivers for a particular Cab Company; and, will he consider the advisability of preventing them using these Government buildings for this purpose?
§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYI have already informed the hon. Member that no touting for cabdrivers goes on at Scotland Yard. The persons referred to in the Question do attend at Scotland Yard, but only as other persons do, for the purpose of bringing men to be examined who have applied for employment in the Companies they represent.
