DAVID THOMAS (Merthyr Tydvil)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will state why the Inspector of Mines for South Wales has discontinued giving in his annual Reports the number of inspections made (above and under ground) and inquests attended during the course of the year by himself and his assistant inspectors; and if he is aware that this information was of interest to those engaged in colliery operations in the district?
§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYI do not know why Mr. Robson has omitted this information from his last, Report. He is under no obligation to give it, but I have no doubt he will be willing to do so if it is of interest to those in his district.
