HC Deb 15 July 1897 vol 51 c149
MR. E. H. LLEWELLYN (Somerset, N.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for -War how many Infantry Militia Battalions are now supplied with helmets, and when the remaining Battalions will receive them?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. BRODRICK, Surrey, Guildford)

Sixty-eight Infantry Militia Battalions have helmets; four more will receive them this year. Fifty-four battalions will remain to be dealt with later, but it is not yet decided whether regiments with a special headgear will receive helmets.
