HC Deb 05 February 1897 vol 45 c1434
SIR WILFRID LAWSON (Cumberland, Cockermouth)

I beg to ask the noble Lord the Member for the West-houghton Division of Lancashire (1) whether the Kitchen Committee have decided to ask the Attorney General to draft a Bill dealing with the illegal sale of liquors at the House of Commons bars; and (2) if so, when the Bill will be introduced?

LORD STANLEY (Lancashire, Westhoughton)

The answer to the first part of the hon. Member's question is "Yes"; and the answer to the second part is, "As soon as possible."

SIR WILFRID LAWSON

May I ask the Leader of the House if he will let us have facilities for discussing this Bill?

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR,) Manchester, E.

I think I must wait and see.
