HC Deb 04 February 1897 vol 45 cc1295-6
MR. ALFRED HUTTON (York, W.R., Morley)

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education whether it is a fact that a number of school buildings erected by the aid of building grants from public funds have ceased to be used as public elementary schools; and, if so, how many; whether the terms upon which the building grants were made are being observed; and whether an inquiry can be made into all cases of such school buildings?

SIR J. GORST

The Committee of Council has no information on the matters referred to in the first and second paragraphs. If any specific cases can be brought before the Committee of Council, inquiry shall be made.
