HC Deb 06 August 1897 vol 52 c517
MR. J. P. FARRELL (Cavan, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, as representing the Postmaster General, whether he can stale if it has been decided to open a sub-post office at Legeelan, in Blacklion postal district, and has the memorial of Owen O'Brien in reference thereto been favourably considered?

* MR. HANBURY

The Postmaster General did receive a memorial asking for the establishment of a post office at the house of Owen O'Brien at Leegelan; but it was found that the correspondence for the neighbourhood was not sufficiently large to justify the establishment of an office. The Postmaster General has recently sanctioned arrangements for extending the official delivery of letters on two days a week to Leegelan and neighbourhood.
