HC Deb 08 May 1896 vol 40 c880
MR.C. H. COMBE (Surrey, Chertsey)

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, whether he will direct that in the Annual Education Reports a table will be given in future showing the number of public elementary schools with an average attendance of 50 per cent. and upwards, grouped in series of gradations of 2½ per cent.; and, whether the figures could be stated separately in respect of infant schools and schools for elder children?

THE VICE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (Sir JOHN GORST,) Cambridge University

It is too late to insert such a table in this year's Report; but the Committee of Council will consider the suggestion with the view of carrying it out as far as practicable in next year's Report.
