MR. HERBERT ROBERTS (Denbighshire, W.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India, whether he is now in a position to place upon the Table Papers relating to the suicide of 1342 the late Maharaja of Patna, and the deposition of the Maharaja of Jhalawar.
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONI have already informed the hon. Member that I do not think it necessary to make any further inquiry as to the death of the late Maharaja of Patna, nor do I propose to lay on the Table Papers relating to this subject. As regards the the Maharaja of Jhalawar, the Report of the Government of India has not yet been received. When it arrives I will consider what Papers pan be laid on the Table of the House.
