§ SIR MATTHEW WHITE RIDLEYThe delay has been due to pressure of work in the Statistical Branch of the Home Office, and especially to the enormous labour which has been involved in the revision of the Civil portion of the Judicial Statistics. The Criminal Statistics are, however, now nearly completed, and I hope to be able to lay them on the Table soon after Easter.
