HC Deb 04 March 1896 vol 38 c179

On the question that the report of the financial resolution on which to found this Bill be agreed to,

DR. TANNER

objected.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (Mr. G. J. GOSCHEN, St. George's,) Hanoversquare

said, that it was very desirable that this resolution should be passed in order that the Naval Works Bill might be printed without delay.

MR. EDMUND ROBERTSON (Dundee)

, expressed a hope that, if the resolution were passed, the Bill would not be taken on Monday and that it would be made the first Order on the day when it was set down.

DR. TANNER

persisting in his objection,

The Order was deferred till Tomorrow.
