HC Deb 09 June 1896 vol 41 c718
MR. PATRICK O'BRIEN

On behalf of Mr. FIELD, I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether he intends to introduce this Session the Bill which he has promised dealing with the question of workhouse administration in Ireland?

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

said that the Bill dealing with the question of workhouse administration in Ireland was nearly ready, but in view of the condition of business in the House he was afraid that unless he was allowed to introduce the Measure after 12 o'clock at night it could not be introduced this Session.
