HC Deb 08 June 1896 vol 41 cc607-8
COLONEL RUSSELL (Cheltenham)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board, whether the Government can state definitely when the Report of the Vaccination Commission will be issued; and, if they cannot say when the Report will be completed, whether they will consider the advisability of issuing a summary of the salient recommendations contained in it, so as to relieve the uncertainty on this subject which has been caused by the long delay in publishing their Report?

MR. CHAPLIN

The reply which I have received to my inquiries on this subject since notice was given of the Question is, that it is impossible to say beforehand how much time will be occupied by the discussion of a Report and the modifications consequent on such discussion. The Commission are approaching the completion of their labours, and there will be no unnecessary delay.
