O'MALLEY (Galway, Connemara)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will represent to the Land Judges in Ireland the desirability of not 220 accepting offers from private individuals for bankrupt estates situated in the congested districts, in view of the compulsory powers which will be conferred upon the Congested Boards by the Land Bill now before Parliament?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe Land Bill does not confer compulsory powers upon the Congested Districts Board, and in any event it would be quite irregular for me to make a representation of the nature suggested to the Land Judge.
