§ SIR WILLIAM WEDDERBURN (Banffshire)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India when the explanatory memorandum by the State on the East India Accounts and Estimates will be distributed to Members, and whether there is any reason for the delay this year in the distribution?
§ LORD GEORGE HAMILTONThe memorandum is now ready, the last figures having been received from India by the mail just arrived. The delay in preparation is due to pressure of the work in the Financial Department owing to the mass of information required by the Royal Commission on Indian expenditure.
