§ *MR. BYRON REEDI beg to ask the first Lord of the Treasury, whether it is the intention of the Government to propose that the Twelve o'clock Rule shall be suspended for the remainder of the Session; and, whether, in that event, the Government will give an assurance that the Colonial Vote shall not be commenced after midnight?
§ THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURYreplied that he would have to make a proposition at no distant date with regard to the Twelve o'clock rule. He could give no assurance as to the Colonial Vote. It had been discussed on more than one night, but if circumstances made it desirable that there should be further discussion on the Vote he would take care that it did not take place at an impossible hour.
