§ MR. E. STRACHEY (Somerset, S.)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if he can state what County Councils in England and Wales have appointed a County Medical Officer of Health, together with their salaries and other remuneration, and the terms of their appointment?
§ MR. CHAPLINAccording to the latest returns received by the Local Government Board there appear to be 1381 about 16 counties for which the County Councils have appointed Medical Officers of Health. I shall be prepared to assent to a return giving the particulars referred to if the hon. Member moves for it.
