§ MR. PATRICK A. M'HUGHOn behalf of the hon. Member for South Leitrim, Mr. JASPER TULLY, I beg to ask the Secretary of the Treasury whether he can state, in view of the fact that there is no public lighting system in the town of Boyle, county Roscommon, that the Board of Works will be prepared to grant a loan to the Boyle municipal body, on the security of the rates, for the purpose of providing an electric system in the township.
§ MR. HANBURYA loan such as that referred to would come under the Public Health Act, and the Board of Works are not empowered to grant a loan under that Act except on the recommendation of the Local Government Board and with the consent of the Treasury, given only after such recommendation.
