§ MR. J. P. FARRELLI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a number of tenants on the Finlay Estate, near Bawnboy, county Cavan, signed agreements to purchase their holdings six years ago, regularly paying the interest since; whether these tenants have now been informed that, unless the whole of the tenants sign agreements, the sale will not be carried through; whether they will get any credit for the amount already paid, and, if not, why; and what is the ground for the refusal to carry out the sale?
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURsaid he had no information to give, and the answer would be forwarded to the hon. Member later.
