KILBRIDE (Kerry, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state what has been the cause of the delay in the erection of a pier at Sneem, County Kerry, by the Congested Districts Board; and whether he is aware that the construction of this pier was promised twelve months ago, and that the grand jury in the meantime passed a presentment for £150 to construct an approach road, the amount estimated by the county surveyor?
MR. JOHN MORLEYThe question refers, it is presumed, to the erection of a pier at Sneem, County Kerry. I am informed by the Congested Districts Board that the difficulties in arranging with local owners about an approach road to the proposed pier at this place have caused delay, but that if the matter is settled in a reasonable time the Board will construct the pier.
