HC Deb 21 February 1895 vol 30 c1268
*MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury, whether, in view of the fact that the Chairman of the Royal Commission (Highlands and Islands 1892) has informed the Secretary for Scotland that the final proofs of the maps to accompany the Report of the Royal Commission are expected to be in the hands of the Stationery Office by the end of this month, he can state the probable date when the Report will be ready for presentation to Parliament?

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir J. T. HIBBERT,) Oldham

The letterpress of the Report of the Highlands and Islands Commission is, I am informed, already in type, and copies could be struck off in a few days if required. The maps have not yet all been received at the Stationery Office. It will take, probably, about six weeks to lithograph and strike off the necessary number of copies after the receipt of the last map at the Stationery Office.
