HC Deb 08 February 1895 vol 30 cc296-7
MR. W. FIELD

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Government intend to bring in a Bill this Session to remedy the defect in the Irish Education Act, 1892, wherein no adequate provision was made to provide funds; and whether the financial clauses will be made retrospective so as to cover the expenses already incurred by committees putting the Act into operation and enforcing its compulsory clauses?

MR. J. MORLEY

If the hon. Member was in his place on Wednesday he must have heard me answer the first part of his question in the affirmative. In answer to the second part, I will consider whether there is any objection to the proposal.
