HC Deb 07 February 1895 vol 30 c208
MR. T. H. COCHRANE (Ayrshire, N.)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Government will now appoint the Select Committee to inquire into the financial relations of Scotland to the other divisions of the United Kingdom and to the Imperial Exchequer, promised during the last Session of Parliament, but postponed by him till there was less financial pressure on the Officials of the Treasury?

SIR W. HARCOURT

When further progress has been made with the Irish inquiry I will consider how soon a Select Committee can be appointed to inquire into the Scotch finance.
