JOHN BAIRD (Glasgow, Central)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether any progress has been made towards a settlement of the claims put forward in the Memorial of the outdoor officers of Her Majesty's Customs, which was sent to the Treasury on 6th February last; and, if not, whether he will give the matter his attention, with a view to an early decision?
§ MR. HANBURYThe Memorial in question was referred to the Board of Customs, who are now considering it, and will report upon it to the Treasury. I will see that there is no undue delay.
