In two of these cases persons were proceeded against, In one case (intimidation by firing shots) I two persons were arrested and discharged for want of evidence, and in the other I (injury to property) three boys were dealt with summarily at Petty Sessions j and sentenced to seven days' imprisonment each. In the same period in 1891 there were 37 cases, and in the year 1892 43 cases. There was a murder in each of those two periods, but there was no murder in our period.

Can the right hon. Gentleman state what was the result of the proceedings taken in these years?
