HC Deb 08 June 1894 vol 25 c685
SIR C. CAMERON (Glasgow, College)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland whether his attention has been called to the fact that the new Regulation of the Scotch Education Department with reference to marks for science at the examination for Training Colleges, 17 out of 31 male candidates for admission to Training Colleges, members of the Glasgow Pupil Teachers' Institute, will have their marks, and therefore their position in the class list, materially interfered with if no credit is to be given for science results previous to 1893; and whether he will consider the propriety of postponing the enforcement of the new Rule for a year, so as to afford reasonable notice of the change?

SIR G. TREVELYAN

The enforcement of the new Rule has been postponed until December, 1895.
