HC Deb 12 January 1894 vol 20 c1462
MR. J. STUART

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will instruct the chief clerks to the various Metropolitan Police Courts to pay over any fees or charges due to the Local, Sanitary, or other Authorities in London to the treasurers of these authorities on each quarter day, and to forward a statement to the clerks of these authorities, showing the respective items so paid?

MR. ASQUITH

The present system is to pay over the fees piecemeal as they are received. I understand that the proposed change would probably involve extra work, but I will give the matter careful consideration.
