HC Deb 15 February 1894 vol 21 c475
SIR D. MACFARLANE

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to an entertainment now proceeding at the Aquarium, in which a girl dances in the presence of some lions and a number of other beasts, and of which the only attraction is the danger to human life? Does the right hon. Gentleman propose to take any steps to stop such an exhibition?

MR. ASQUITH

I have not seen the entertainment, but I will make inquiries.
