HC Deb 28 November 1893 vol 18 c1899
MR. BUCHANAN (Aberdeenshire, E.)

In the absence of the hon. Member for Orkney and Shetland, I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has lately received an appeal from the Northern Lighthouse Commissioners against the decision of the Trinity House with reference to the necessity of marking the Vee Skerries with a light; and whether he proposes to give effect to this appeal and over-rule the objection of the Trinity House?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRADE (Mr. MUNDELLA,) Sheffield, Brightside

I have received the appeal to which the hon. Member refers. It requires, and will receive, careful investigation and consideration.
