HC Deb 13 November 1893 vol 18 c762

I beg to ask the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education whether his attention has been called to the proceedings of the General Conference on Secondary Education held at the University of Oxford; and whether he proposes to appoint a Royal Commission on the subject, or to take any other, and what, steps with a view to legislation?

My attention has been called to the very interesting proceedings of the Conference on Secondary Education, summoned by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford. I can only say at present that the subject is under the careful consideration of the Government.
