HC Deb 20 June 1893 vol 13 c1473
MR. THEOBALD

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland what steps have been taken by the Lord Chancellor in the case of Mr. John Chine, who was appointed a Magistrate for Limerick by the present Government, in consequence of his having presided at a meeting at which a so-called landgrabber was denounced and boycotting resolutions were passed?

MR. J. MORLEY

The Lord Chancellor has received a communication from Mr. Chine, and he is of opinion that no further action is called for beyond an admonition to be more careful in future.
