HC Deb 05 June 1893 vol 13 cc186-7
MR. M'CARTAN (Down, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state the number of dispensary doctors in each of the following places—namely, County Antrim, County Down, and City of Belfast; and how many of them in each place are Catholics?

MR. J. MORLEY

There are 34 medical officers of dispensary districts in the County Antrim, and 33 in County Down. In the City of Belfast there are 15 dispensary doctors. The Local Government Board have no information as to the religious denominations to which these officers belong.

MR. M'CARTAN

In both the two counties, as well as in the City of Belfast, there is only one Roman Catholic dispensary doctor.
