HC Deb 10 July 1893 vol 14 cc1133-4
SIR J. LENG (Dundee)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether he will lay upon the Table of the House the Reports on which the recent decision of the Board was founded to continue the restrictions on the importation of Canadian cattle; and whether they can be illustrated by coloured drawings of the diseased lungs of the animal landed from the Lake Winnipeg?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE (Mr. H. GARDNER, Essex, Saffron Walden)

I propose to lay upon the Table some Papers on the subject to which my hon. Friend refers, which will include the Report made by my principal veterinary officer. I have made inquiry as to whether coloured drawings of the diseased lungs could be made; but I am informed that, owing to the lapse of time and the alterations in colour which have occurred, such drawing would be of no practical value.
