HC Deb 10 July 1893 vol 14 c1134
MR. T. W. RUSSELL (Tyrone, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that at Wilbrook, County Clare, on the 24th of June last, 15 cows and a horse, the property of Mr. O'Dea, of Kilfenora, were mutilated; and whether the police have made any Report on this outrage, and if they assign any motive for it?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. J. MORLEY, Newcastle-upon-Tyne)

It is true that the hair was cut off the tails of 15 cows and a horse on the date mentioned; but they were not otherwise injured in any way. The animals were grazing at the time of the occurrence on a farm about which there has been a dispute, and the matter was promptly reported by the police.
