SIR U. KAY-SHUTTLEWORTHThe Renown is the only battleship commenced last year. She was laid down at Pembroke in December last. In the present financial year it is proposed to lay down the Majestic and Magnificent at Portsmouth and Chatham respectively, and to commence building both ships shortly; but the dates are not yet fixed.
