HC Deb 27 February 1893 vol 9 c440
MR. LAWRENCE (Liverpool, Abercromby)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he can lay upon the Table of the House any Memorandum showing the state of the law in other countries as to employers' liability in relation to shipping interests; and, if not, whether he will acquire this information for the above purpose, so far as concerns the United States, France, Germany, Sweden, and Norway?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. ASQUITH, Fife, E.)

I regret to say I am unable at the present moment to furnish the hon. Member with the information he asks for, but I am endeavouring to obtain it as soon as possible. I am in communication with the Foreign Office on the subject.
